Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has called on the Biden administration to immediately renew its supply of weapons and ammunition to Israel, calling it "inconceivable" that the US was withholding such aid.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has urged the Biden administration to restart its supply of weapons to Israel, claiming that it is "inconceivable" that the US is withholding such assistance.
In a video statement, Netanyahu said he conveyed his concerns to US Secretary of State Antony Blinken during their recent meeting, emphasizing the urgency of the matter.

"I told him it's inconceivable that the Biden administration is withholding weapons and ammunitions to Israel, weapons that we need to defend ourselves against Iran and its proxies," Netanyahu said.
This plea from Netanyahu comes amidst ongoing speculation that US President Joe Biden may cancel his scheduled meeting with the Israeli prime minister on Tuesday due to Biden's recent COVID-19 diagnosis.

Axios journalist Barak Ravid reported that Netanyahu's team is no longer expecting the meeting to take place as planned. However, an Israeli official told Ravid that Netanyahu is still "waiting for an answer" from the White House.
This development occurs just days after Biden announced that he had tested positive for COVID-19. As of Monday afternoon, the president remained isolated in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, but is reportedly recovering well.

In a letter released on Monday, Biden's physician, Dr. Kevin O'Connor, stated that the president "completed his tenth dose of PAXLOVID this morning."
"His symptoms have almost resolved completely," O'Connor wrote. "His pulse, blood pressure, respiratory rate, and temperature remain absolutely normal. His oxygen saturation continues to be excellent on room air [sic]. His lungs remain clear."

O'Connor added that "the President continues to perform all of his presidential duties."
The potential cancellation of the Biden-Netanyahu meeting also follows Biden's announcement that he will not seek a second term in the 2024 presidential election. He immediately endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris as his successor, with many prominent Democrats following suit.
"It has been the greatest honor of my life to serve as your president," Biden wrote in a public letter. "While it has been my intention to seek reelection, I believe it is in the best interests of my party and the country for me to stand down and focus solely on fulfilling my duties as president for the remainder of my term."
Before departing Israel for D.C., Netanyahu told reporters that his country would stand by the US "regardless [of] who the American people choose as their next president."
"In this time of war and uncertainty, it's important that Israel's enemies know that America and Israel stand together," Netanyahu said.
Netanyahu is scheduled to address Congress on Wednesday. He is also expected to meet with Harris during his visit.
Fox News Digital reached out to Netanyahu's office and the White House for additional information.
Netanyahu also requested a meeting with former President Trump this week, according to Politico. It is unclear if Trump will agree to the meeting.
