The Fargo Parks Commission recently voted to award a contract for the replacement of fencing at Rheault Farm, a popular recreation area in the city.
The Fargo Parks Commission held its monthly meeting on September 13th, approving a series of measures aimed at improving the city's parks and recreation facilities. One of the key actions taken was the unanimous decision to award a bid to American Security & Gate Company for the replacement of fencing at Rheault Farm.
Rheault Farm is a 200-acre park located in north Fargo, offering a variety of recreational opportunities for residents. The park's fencing, however, had become outdated and in need of replacement. The new fencing will enhance the safety and security of the park, while also improving its overall aesthetics.

The approved bid from American Security & Gate Company totaled $87,000, which includes the removal of the existing fencing and the installation of new fencing around the perimeter of the park. The project is expected to be completed by the end of the year.
In addition to the fencing replacement project, the Parks Commission also approved the following measures:
* **Approval of a contract with VS Engineering for the design of a new playground at Northside Park.** The new playground will replace the existing one, which has reached the end of its useful life. The design contract is valued at $22,000.
* **Authorization of the purchase of new equipment for the Fargo Sports Complex.** The equipment includes a new scoreboard, sound system, and batting cages. The total cost of the equipment is $110,000.
* **Approval of a resolution supporting the Fargo Park District's application for a grant from the North Dakota Parks and Recreation Department.** The grant, if awarded, would provide funding for the construction of a new walking trail at Rheault Farm.
The Fargo Parks Commission is committed to providing quality parks and recreation facilities for the city's residents. The measures approved at the September meeting will help to improve the safety, accessibility, and enjoyment of these facilities for years to come.
